-“Choose any window you like, as long as it is one from LEIAB!” In Spelet, in the southern parts of Norrköping, Sweden, nine three story buildings from the 60´s have recently been fitted with new windows. Despite many re-paintings and even an attempt to fix cladding to the windows, they had finally begun to rot. As all of the windows needed replacement, Bengt Pettersson wanted the new windows to be maintenance free and easy to clean. -“After evaluating seven maintenance free alternatives we came to the conclusion that LEIAB provided the best solution, especially with the windows´ inward-opening weathering mode,” said Bengt. Bengt, a former purchasing officer, explains that he visited the factory and was impressed with the production flow and the fact that everything was very tidy and orderly. -“Aluminium on the outside and wood on the inside clearly felt like the best solution for us”, Bengt continues and also adds that the building company, Hammarlund & Jarl, have now replaced 1400 windows”. The window they finally chose was the “Epok” model for its liveliness and smooth lines. Bengt concludes that he is satisfied with the windows and that their appearance is very appealing.
